North America holds its virtual June conference and connects members from across the region
Attracting close to 50 members, the 2021 North America June Conference took place virtually on 3-4 June. It was attended by members with a broad variety of specialisations such as Accounting and Assurance, Tax, Practice Management, Litigation and Advisory, and proved a great opportunity for members to reconnect.
Relevant and interactive agenda
Included in the agenda were practice management talks, technical topics and general networking via a virtual Happy Hour and revolving breakout sessions, in which members were able to catch up with old friends and establish new connections with other members they had not yet met.
Jeff Vroman, Partner with The Vroman Group, LLP, and Ed Fahey, Partner with RINA Accountants & Advisors, North America Co-Chairs, presented the North America strategic plan for 2021 and 2022. Jeff and Ed were followed by an exhilarating and motivational keynote presentation by Johnny Quinn, U.S. Olympian and former U.S. and Canadian pro-footballer, who provided an honest and thought provoking insight into the struggles and successes he has experienced throughout his adult life, and how he has used them to overcome challenges in the business world.
Margaret Graziano, CEO of Keen Alignment shared her thoughts and ideas about the upcoming leadership programme in North America. Jeff and Ed also facilitated a practice management breakout session and Ken Ray, Partner with Kirsch Kohn & Bridge LLP, and Kim Onisko, Partner with O&S CPAs & Business Advisors, facilitated a virtual happy hour at the end of the first day.
The second day was taken up with CPE sessions for Tax and A&A which included engaging presentations and lively roundtable talks.
Rounding up the conference was an advisory session with Robert Sher, Founder of CEO to CEO who spoke about Improving Strategic & Operational Planning for Your Clients.
“It was exciting to host our June virtual conference and excellent that nearly 50 North America members attended the two-day conference. North America members are now looking forward to our in-person conference on November 17 – 19, 2021 in Austin, Texas at the W Hotel." |
A big thank you to Joe Tarasco, Nancy Damato, and all of the North America Region team who made this meeting such a success.
