MGI Worldwide's Sophie Woodburn, Shadow IC Member, named Winner in Accountancy Age 35 under 35 Rankings!

We are thrilled to announce that Sophie Woodburn, Manager at F.W. Smith, Riches & Co. and UK & Ireland Shadow International Committee member for MGI Worldwide, has been named a winner in the prestigious Accountancy Age 35 under 35 rankings for 2024. This accolade celebrates Sophie's exceptional leadership and contributions to the accountancy profession.

From over 160 entrants, Sophie emerged among the top 35, a testament to her dedication and expertise in the field.

Beyond her professional achievements, Sophie is a passionate advocate for small and medium-sized accountancy firms. Her role on MGI Worldwide’s Shadow International Committee underscores her commitment to shaping global accounting practices and supporting young professionals within our network. As a Core Group Member of MGI's Tomorrow’s Leaders initiative, Sophie has played a pivotal role in enhancing the professional development of over 200 young accountants worldwide.

Sophie is a familiar presence within the MGI Family of firms, regularly attending MGI Europe’s annual Talent meeting and recently participating in MGI’s European conference in Warsaw, Poland.

Her contributions were also recognised at the UK Alternative Accountancy Summit, where MGI UK & Ireland hosted its Audit Forum earlier this year. Sophie actively engaged in discussions on the future of the profession and the impact of AI. Sophie’s proactive approach extends to community engagement, through her leadership in Mental Health Awareness Week initiatives and her role in securing the ESGmark® accreditation for F.W. Smith, Riches & Co.
