MGI South Queensland hosts MGI Australasia Future Leaders conference
MGI South Queensland recently hosted the MGI Australasia Future Leaders conference. This conference was attended by almost 20 participants from all MGI firms across Australia and New Zealand.
The theme of the conference focused on a range of learning and development experiences to assist participants in becoming more connected to their evolution as a leader.
Equiping future leaders
The 1.5-day conference incorporated a lot of workshop learning, giving participants practical and implementable tools to take back to their firms and to further progress their career development.
MGI Adelaide accountant Evelynn Lim comments:
“The Future Leaders conference hosted by MGI South Queensland was a great experience to meet and network with our MGI counterparts from other cities, states, and New Zealand. The conference was informative and interactive. It was great that we had the chance to collaborate, bounce ideas off each other and share common experiences. Most importantly, we were challenged in our way of thinking and working, resulting in new ideas that we would not have thought otherwise.”
MGI Australasia provides a career-long commitment to 'Success Your Way' for our staff, from their engagement with the firm as interns all the way through to partnership level.
MGI Australasia Grad Academy well represented
We were pleased to see six of our 2022 MGI Australasia Graduate Academy participants attend the Future Leaders conference. After working together and studying together over 40 weeks of the Graduate Academy program in 2022, this team of talented accountants had the chance to meet in Brisbane and spend 1.5 days of learning and a fun evening together.
“The Future Leaders Conference helped me to shift my mindset on what leadership looks like and how it relates to management in business. It provided me with valuable skills as well as highlighted particular key areas I can improve in to grow as a leader. I was mostly impressed to see five of the other graduates at the conference from my cohort of the first MGI Graduate Academy in 2022, all with the same aspirations and on the same paths in our careers.” MGI Parkinson accountant Ross Nesbitt.
We look forward to seeing how these accountants continue to create 'Success their Way'.
