Accru Harris Orchard in Adelaide launches new podcast series: Owner Insights

New Podcast Alert! We’re excited to share the news that Adelaide-based member firm Accru Harris Orchard has launched a new podcast. Titled 'Owner Insights', the podcast is dedicated to uncovering the stories behind great businesses and the people who own them.

Hosted by the firm's Managing Director, James Orchard, the monthly podcast dives into the stories and insights of inspiring business owners.

James explains

“With Owner Insights, I’m getting straight to the heart of what it really takes to build a great business. This podcast is about real, no-nonsense conversations with people who’ve been through the highs, lows, and tough calls of running a business. I aim to uncover what makes these business owners tick - their mistakes, growth and pivotal moments. It’s not a ‘how-to’ guide on running a business; it’s stories and insights from inspiring people that I hope will resonate with listeners - whether seasoned business owners or aspiring entrepreneurs - and show that success isn’t one-size-fits-all. It’s about resilience, heart, learning from each step, and forging your own path.”

With over 30 years of experience in the accounting industry, James Orchard has served as the Managing Director of Accru Harris Orchard since 2008. Under his leadership, the business has expanded from a small firm of 20 to a team of over 70, with 8 Directors. James sits on the Advisory Board of several private businesses and has recently been appointed to the Board of Cricket Australia (CA). This appointment follows his tenure on the Board of the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA), where he also served as Vice President. James is a fellow of both the Australian Institute of Company Directors and Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.
