The 2024 Asia regional meeting is being held in Ahmedabad, India. This vibrant city offers a rich blend of history, culture, and modernity. The meeting will have an ESG focus – around the sustainability standards and ideas on how to build a service around ESG for member firms. Highlights include internal and external speakers, a morning heritage walk plus a post conference tour that will cover visit to Sabarmati Ashram, reflecting Mahatma Gandhi's legacy, and the intricately carved Adalaj Stepwell.

Ahmedabad, is the fifth most populous city in India. It is located on the banks of the River Sabarmati. The city was founded in 1411 to serve as the capital of the Sultanate of Gujarat, by its namesake, Sultan Ahmed Shah. Today Ahmedabad has emerged as an important economic and industrial hub in India. It is the second-largest producer of cotton in India and a major textile and clothing hub in India. Ahmedabad has one of the largest concentration of pharmaceutical and biotech companies in India.

We look forward to gathering this year in India - currently the world's fastest growing major economy. IMF now expects India’s GDP to grow by 6.7% for FY2024 and a steady growth of 6.5% for FY25 and FY26. Join the Asia regional meeting in the country that is on track to be the world's third biggest economy in the next few years.

I hope to see you in Ahmedabad!
